Harsil Valley Uttarakhand : Travel Blog

HINDI TRAVEL TECH

The Himalayan valleys have always attracted not only tourists, but also Hindi cinema.

In such a situation, how could Uttarakhand remain untouched?

The Rawai Valley of Uttarkashi district is known for the richest social, religious, cultural heritage of Uttarakhand.
There are many places to visit here, but the matter of Harsil Valley of this region is different.
A major portion of the film Ram Teri Ganga Maili was shot in Uttarkashi and Gangotri, but (Ganga) Mandakini's village and the post office remained in the public mind.

The people of Harsil do not forget to show the post office to the passengers even today and tell that Mandakini's letter in the film had come to this post office.

The special thing is that Harsil's post office is still the same as it was seen in the 1985 film.

Harsil, situated in the foothills of the Himalayas, is known for its natural beauty as well as apple production.

This place is as quiet as it is beautiful. The Bhagirathi river flows through this place, which further enhances the beauty of Harsil.

Coming to this place, no tourist can stay without being enchanted.

For the first time, I was also kept watching the river, mountain and waterfall here.

This place captivates everyone in its beauty. The special thing about Harsil is that it is beautiful as well as accessible to the people.

To reach this place, you have to first reach Rishikesh, then Uttarkashi, after that you have to take a car to go to Harsil.

The distance of Gangotri from here is only 30 kilometers.

The distance from Harsil to Gangotri National Park is also about seventy kilometers.

It is the first choice of trackers. People from all over the country come to this place for trekking and stay at this place.

There are 7 lakes in Harsil nestled between the Himalayan Mountains, about which very few people know.

Although Harsil is a small place, but the beauty here makes it huge.

The entire valley is full of natural beauty. The calm and steady stream of Bhagirathi river fills the tourists with adventure.

There are many water sources in this valley, which will fascinate you.

All the small and big waterfalls are seen ready to welcome you.

In this valley you will get to see a lot of pine trees. There are good options in terms of accommodation facilities.

A long journey of inaccessible and dangerous roads and then such a comfort that the rest of the world forgets.

To be honest, the first trip to Pithoragarh was very memorable.

The twelve hour journey from Delhi to Pithoragarh reminded me of the rough roads of the world.

Especially, the steep climb between Champawat and Pithoragarh.

Fear and excitement were flowing in my veins. Amidst breathtaking natural landscape and holy sites, Pithoragarh is an important hill station in Uttarakhand.

Situated at an altitude of about sixteen hundred meters above sea level, this is a historical place, which attracts everyone.

Mansarovar and Kailash pilgrimage starts from this region.

Nepal and Tibet are bordered by Pithoragarh, whose social and cultural influence is also visible to us.

On the one hand, Nepalese workers and cantonments of the Indo-Tibetan Border Force working from place to place,

and on the other hand the waterfalls, white glaciers, calm lakes and flowing rivers soothe our tiredness and boredom.

From sightseeing to nature exploration, options abound at this place, which enliven the soul as well as our travels.

Pithoragarh has many attractions for tourists. If you have a week's time, then you can explore this place very beautifully.

So there are many places for those who want adventure amidst nature. Pithoragarh Fort is also a popular place here.

Other tourist attractions include Nakuleshwar Temple, Arjuneshwar Temple and Kapileshwar Temple. Nanda Devi Temple is also attractive.

Kafni Glacier is located near Pithoragarh. Mansarovar and Kailash Yatra also starts from here.

That is why Pithoragarh is also called Mansarovar and the gate of Kailash.

Due to the length of the journey, many types of stops or tourist places come in the way.

On reaching Kathgodam, there is an option to visit Haldwani and Nainital.

Kainchi Dham also falls on the way, which is a famous place of Nainital.

Apart from Pithoragarh, there are many such places where tourists keep visiting. Chandak and Khalia Top are such places.

Some people come here and also go to Munsiyari. There is a lot for tourists to visit and spend their time in Munsiyari.

Along with rivers, waterfalls and mountains, you can find trekking, camping and lush green meadows in this place.

The road to reach Pithoragarh is inaccessible, but all kinds of means are available.

Airplane facilities exist, but its operation largely depends on the weather.

So keep in mind the weather while booking the ticket. Uttarakhand transport buses ply.

Train facility is till Kathgodam, after that you have to go by road.
